GENERAL INFORMATION Albury Pre-School is one of 5 large preschools operating in the City of Albury. Since 1975 it has been located at it’s current premises in Alma St, close to central Albury. It is sponsored by Albury City Council, utilising funding from Department of Community Services (DOCS), fees, and fund-raising. Department of Education and Training provide grants under the Intervention Support Program for the inclusion of children with additional needs. The Centre operates as a 2 unit Pre-School, providing Early Childhood Programs in a Pre-School environment for up to 160 children aged 3 - 6 who attend between one and 3 days / week. Albury Preschool employs qualified and experienced staff, including specialists in early intervention and speech therapy. Albury Pre-School puts a strong emphasis on parent involvement in the Pre-Schools operation and management. Over the past few years the Centre has continued to improve it’s standing in the community and is widely recognised and respected for its ability to operate effectively and provide a quality Pre-School program and Special Needs Programs. BEFORE AND AFTERNOON CARE PROGRAM Special Needs Staff – Our special needs staff are employed to work with children with special needs. They are employed to work and integrate children in a 1:1 capacity if necessary.
